as...as, more...than, the most — cấu trúc so sánh trong TOEFL.

So sánh bằng: as + tính từ/trạng từ + as

  • This model is *as efficient as* the previous one. (Mẫu này hiệu quả bằng mẫu trước.)

    • So sánh hơn: -er / more + than

  • The new office is *larger than* the old one. (Văn phòng mới lớn hơn cái cũ.)
  • This software is *more user-friendly than* the competitor's. (Phần mềm này dễ dùng hơn của đối thủ.)

    • So sánh nhất: the -est / the most

  • She is *the most experienced* candidate. (Cô ấy là ứng viên giàu kinh nghiệm nhất.)

    • So sánh kép:

  • The *more* you practice, the *better* you become. (Càng luyện tập, bạn càng giỏi.)

    • Lỗi thường gặp:

  • more better ✗ → better ✓
  • most fastest ✗ → fastest ✓

    • Examples

    TOEFL Tip:

    Never use double comparatives (more better, most fastest). Use either -er/est or more/most.
