Past Simple, Past Continuous และ Past Perfect สำหรับสอบ TOEFL

Past Simple: การกระทำที่เสร็จสิ้นในอดีต

  • The meeting *ended* at 5 PM. (ประชุมจบตอนบ่าย 5)

    • Past Continuous (was/were + V-ing): การกระทำที่กำลังดำเนินอยู่ในอดีต

  • She *was preparing* the report when the client called. (เธอกำลังเตรียมรายงานเมื่อลูกค้าโทรมา)

    • Past Perfect (had + กริยาช่อง 3): การกระทำที่เสร็จก่อนเหตุการณ์อดีตอีกเหตุการณ์

  • By the time we arrived, the presentation *had already started*. (ตอนเรามาถึง การนำเสนอเริ่มไปแล้ว)

    • คำบ่งชี้:

  • Past Simple: yesterday, last week, ago, in 2020
  • Past Perfect: by the time, before, after, already (ในบริบทอดีต)
