อนุประโยคนามทำหน้าที่เป็นคำนาม — เป็นประธาน กรรม หรือส่วนเติมเต็ม

That-clause:

  • *That he resigned* surprised everyone. (ที่เขาลาออกทำให้ทุกคนประหลาดใจ) — ประธาน
  • We believe *that the plan will succeed*. (เราเชื่อว่าแผนจะสำเร็จ) — กรรม

    • Wh-clause:

  • *What the manager said* was important. (สิ่งที่ผู้จัดการพูดสำคัญ) — ประธาน
  • I don't know *where the meeting is*. (ฉันไม่รู้ว่าประชุมที่ไหน) — กรรม

    • Whether/If clause:

  • *Whether the budget will be approved* is uncertain. (ว่างบจะอนุมัติหรือไม่ยังไม่แน่นอน) — ประธาน
  • Please confirm *whether you will attend*. (กรุณายืนยันว่าจะเข้าร่วมหรือไม่) — กรรม

    • กฎสำคัญ: ในอนุประโยคนาม ใช้ลำดับประโยคบอกเล่า (ประธาน + กริยา)

  • I wonder *where the office is*. ✓
  • I wonder *where is the office*. ✗

    • Examples

    TOEFL Tip:

    After verbs like "know/believe/confirm", if the blank starts a clause, choose "that/what/whether".
