การกลับประโยคคือการสลับลำดับประธาน-กริยา ออกสอบ TOEFL Reading และ 6

หลังคำวิเศษณ์ปฏิเสธ:

  • *Never has* the company faced such a challenge. (บริษัทไม่เคยเผชิญความท้าทายเช่นนี้)
  • *Not only did* she finish the report, but she also presented it. (ไม่เพียงทำรายงานเสร็จ แต่ยังนำเสนอด้วย)
  • *Rarely do* employees work on weekends. (พนักงานแทบไม่ทำงานวันหยุด)

    • การกลับประโยคเงื่อนไข (ละ "if"):

  • *Had* I known earlier, I would have applied. (= If I had known / ถ้าฉันรู้ก่อนหน้า)
  • *Should* you have any questions, please contact us. (= If you should / หากมีคำถาม)
  • *Were* it not for the delay, we would have finished. (= If it were not / ถ้าไม่ล่าช้า)

    • หลัง "Only":

  • Only after the meeting *did* we realize the issue. (หลังประชุมเท่านั้นที่เราตระหนักถึงปัญหา)

    • Examples

    TOEFL Tip:

    After Never/Rarely/Seldom/Not only, expect inverted order (auxiliary + subject).
