가정법/당위 표현: 제안/요구 동사 뒤에 동사 원형을 사용합니다.

  • The manager suggested that she attend the meeting. (attends ✗)

    • (매니저는 그녀가 회의에 참석할 것을 제안했다.)

  • It is essential that the report be submitted on time. (is ✗)

    • (보고서가 제때 제출되는 것이 필수적이다.)

  • They recommended that he apply for the position. (applies ✗)

    • (그들은 그가 그 직책에 지원할 것을 추천했다.)

    유발 동사: suggest, recommend, insist, demand, require, request, propose

    유발 형용사: essential, important, necessary, vital, crucial

    형태: that + 주어 + 동사원형 (-s 없음, "should" 없음)
